Target

The store looks really good and well stock which was quite nice. The surprise came when interacting with store personnel. I was looking for a particular vitamin that my ophthalmologist told me i needed. After unsuccessfully looking for it, I asked the clerk at the pharmacy if it was stocked. She said look for it in the vitamins. Wow… Why I did not think to do just that? The pharmacist without raising his head to look, screamed in a rude tone: look for it against the wall. I decided to leave and go to pay for the stuff we had in the cart. At the cashier we met …. She exhibited a behavior that I have never before seeing at any store much less Target. She rang one of our items and my wife indicated that it was on sale 20% off. She said to my wife: Young lady is not ringing as a sale. When my wife insisted she said: “ I do not give merchandise away. Next time take a picture of the sign.” My wife said: can you send someone to check? She visibly annoyed called for a person to check. While grunting under her breath and complaining about my wife. A gentleman behind me told her that the customer is always right. She told him to be quiet and mind his own business. Then they started arguing back and forth. She became increasingly belligerent and at one point told him to get out of her lane. She stated that he was getting in her last nerve. Lousy, belligerent customer service. Target need to rid itself of some of the employees in this store. Too bad I cannot give them a zero.

One of the team members at the guest service today was a bit rude. I kindly asked her if it would be possible for me to check out since I had an order for pickup there. However, her response was that it wasn't possible because the guest service didn't have any bags. As a result, my brother-in-law had to quickly rush to the self-checkout area to grab some bags. She was not happy with the help even. It was disappointing to encounter such a lack of customer service. I hope the management takes this issue seriously and provides better training to their staff.

This Target has been my main go-to for most items for the last 10+ years. The level of service and finding the products I need has unfortunately gone down hill the last few years. It is typically very messy and many items are on the wrong shelves leading to constant price confusion at check out. There is always a lengthy wait at checkout as regular check out lanes are unused by the store forcing most customers into one self check lane. I wish this store would improve its cleanliness and product placement so I can actually enjoy shopping here like I used to.

I would give this Target 5 stars if not for one big issue: checkout. They usually only have 1 cashier and a few self-checkout stations. This wouldn't be an issue if they enforced a "10 item or less" limit at self-checkout. I usually only need to get 1-5 items per visit, but I always seem to be stuck behind a line of folks with overflowing carts. Some folks will even stop to fold clothes as they scan them. It all adds up to an unusually long wait. The addition of just 1-2 quick-checkout stations would be enough for me to start shopping here again. For now, there are faster options across the street.
